We are SPH Huurdersbelangen. We collect feedback and ideas from students and bring them to our meetings with SSH&.That way, policy doesn't just come from the landlord, but truly reflects what tenants need.
SPH represents our interests as tenants at SSH&. SPH is the tenants' organisation for all SSH& tenants in Nijmegen and Arnhem. We stand up for student tenants and make sure their voice is heard in decisions about housing. As SSH&'s official consultation partner, we work towards fair, affordable and pleasant student housing. We are a group of engaged students who volunteer to make housing better for others.
As a tenants' organisation, we discuss and give input on everything related to your home.
From rent and service charges to maintenance, sustainability and tenant participation: we sit at the table with SSH& to represent your interests.
Consulting with SSH&
We meet with SSH& several times a year and stay in touch with the municipalities and other (student) tenants' organisations in Nijmegen and Arnhem.
This way, students have a say in the policies and decisions that directly affect where they live.
"At SPH, we think it's important to know what's really going on among tenants. That's why we regularly talk with fellow tenants from different buildings in Nijmegen and Arnhem."

How we do it
Relaxed, approachable get-togethers
Our conversations aren't only formal; we like to keep them relaxed and easy-going. Think of a picnic, a visit to one of the buildings, or simply an informal chat. That way, we hear first-hand what's going well and what could be better.
Annual tenants' meeting
Once a year, we also organise a plenary tenants' meeting. We look back on what SPH has achieved over the past year and share the issues and complaints we've heard most often. It's also the moment for tenants to share their experiences, ideas and concerns with us.
Being visible
We also do our best to be visible and easy to reach. That's why we put up posters and stickers in the buildings explaining how to contact us.
Have a question, idea or problem?
You can easily reach us through the contact form. We aim to reply within 10 working days.
